What is GLBT?

GLBT basically stands for Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender.
Out of the four communities, gays should be the largest group. The group that is more easier for you to notice could be the Transgenders and the sissy gays.
For a manly macho gay, he could be so normal or decent looking, that you are not able to tell at all. There are even gays who are so ah beng, you won’t believe that they are gays. The manly gays do not have obvious tell tale signs. They could be one of your neighbours, your colleagues, you friends, or even your “husband”.
For the sissy gays, they may be more easily to tell. They will usually behave very girlishly or dress in very effeminate clothing. BUT take note though that there’s always a possibility that a sissy gay is not necessary a gay. It could just be their character or personalities are really like that, effeminate.
For lesbians, there also are the manly acting one, which we will commonly call a butch. They tend to have short hair, dress and behave like a man. BUT note that butch are totally different from FtM. FtM will go through sex change operations to be a “man”. But butch will never. Butch should be easy to figure out.
Then the female ones are usually just like any other normal looking girl, even the very innocent looking girl next door type. No tell tale signs.
Bisexual is someone who can likes both girls and guys. They can have a boyfriend and a girlfriend.
For transgender, the only way to tell could be base on their passability. If one really looks like a girl, add in a very feminine voice, you hardly know she use to be a man. Then there are some who really looks like a girl, but yet the voice is still quite husky and manly. Then there are those whom you can just tell from their manly looks. I’d probably be somewhere between the second and third type.
One funny thing is in the trans community, lots of us like to use the word “convincing” rather than “passable” to describe each other. It’s probably due to some of them who are just so damn passable, yet due to their lack of confidence, they “tried too hard” behaving like a woman, thus resulting in a sort of like “trying to convince others too hard she really is a woman” manner. Or simply call, too “plastic” already.
Actually transgender not only refers to man who became woman, just like myself, but it actually also refers to woman who wants to become man and we call them FtM.
For them, we hardly heard of, hardly known of, hardly spoke of. They are just too mysterious. Most of them are just look so like man, then you won’t even know. And they like to keep very very low profile and don’t want people to know their past. They will really hide their identity and erase their past.
But the MtF are different as some of them are still loud and proud, they don’t mind people knowing who they are. And most of the trans basically just know of or heard of each other even if they do not know each other. Especially the not convincing ones, there’s no way they can hide, people can tell, so they just had to be what they truly are and be proud of it, by ignoring what others think of them.
So in summary, the man gays, the girl lesbians, the bisexuals and the very convincing trans are most difficult to odd them out. As you really can’t tell at all, unless they told you their past personally. But most of them will rather hide their identity due to the discrimination we face in society. It is easier for them to blend into society, be respected and have many job opportunities.
But the obvious one, especially the trans group, very unfortunately, will often meet obstacles and discrimination in their path.
So…………..is the one beside you a trans………???? You never know………..
