The world of a blind dog

    By Ms Chor Lor | June 21, 2009 | 42 views

I went to find Bernard today and chatted with them the whole day there.

Then there was this terrier that was on boarding there. I got a shocked when they told me this dog was actually blind.

Suddenly, I felt so sad and pity for the poor dog. I placed my hand on the left, it was ‘looking’ at the right. I called its name from the left, it ran over.

I tried looking at its eyes, and see that they were like whitish, the kind of eye you see when someone is blind.

Then I asked them does it knock into the wall when it walks. They said yes, it sometimes will. But the dog will always walk very slowly because it is blind. Just like how a blind person will walk slowly and carefully as well.

I really felt pity for the dog. It is a difficult thing even for a blind human, not to mention a small dog.

Lucky they said the owner takes good care of it, loves it very much and did not abandon it. That is such a consoling thing to hear.

I wondered how the dog got blind. It was maybe because of its old age. The dog was quite old already.

I wonder has it ever seen how its owner looks like before it goes blind. I wonder does the dog ever feel scare at all. How does it feel when it first got blind? Suddenly gone into a world of darkness…………….

It was such a cute and sweet dog……………..her name was Angel. Brave and strong…………

Darling, its catarats la. My dog gets it too. Eye lens gradually turns white until blind. Happens 2 humans too. But humans still can operate. Google catarats la.
