    No wonder coaches always accident…….

    By Ms Chor Lor | July 5, 2009 | 241 views

Was riding on my way home from Jurong just now. On the way, there were at least 5 coaches also travelling downwards to city from Jurong.

It was raining, though not heavy, but was drizzling and the floor was definitely wet and slippery, yet these coaches were driving at least 100 and above kpm.

Not only that, there were even swerving left and right the lanes, overtaking the cars that are blocking them in front. They were driving even faster than some cars!

Not sure though if the coaches are occupied or empty. But I always come across such coaches at these timings. They are probably returning to Golden Mile from some parts of Malaysia.

And they always are driving super fast. I don’t understand what is their rush? And there are always no TP around at such hours to nap such speed drivers.

They were obviously driving very dangerously and recklessly. They are also endangering other drivers on the road.

I myself is always so scared when I see a coach approaching from behind. Because I know they are very fast and speeding, and I’m always so worried they are going to knock right into me.

If they can be driving in such a way on Spore expressway, where the road is smooth and good and well lit, then can you imagine how dangerous ot will be instead on Malaysia highways, where some parts of the roads are so dim and roads are uneven or full of holes.

Which is why we always see many accidents in the highways there involving coaches. They are just driving so dangerously.

I really hope there could be more TP on the watch out for such coaches.

Seriously, I am so phobia of such coaches, that if I were to ever travel too Malaysia, I would definitely try to chose a day trip. Which I would feel much safer than being on a night trip.

Perhaps you should write in to Straits Times forum to highlight the problem.
