    5000 evacuated as chimpanzees escape

    By Ms Chor Lor | July 6, 2009 | 43 views

In a UK zoo, a group of 30 male chimpanzees escape from their enclosure into a keepers area.

Visitors in the zoo were quickly forced to take shelter in restaurants by zookeepers for safety reasons. They were however, being evacuated later as a precaution. There was  about 5000 visitors during that time. None was injured.

There is actually one more locked door to pass through before the chimpanzees really will run free into the main zoo. Luckily, they were just busy eating the foods in the keepers area where they had escape into.
