Boy mauled by dog until face disfigured

This boy and his family had went to a family friend’s place. The boy was trying to feed a piece of cake to the dog, which is an Akita, Japanese dog.
The dog suddenly pounced on him and pinned him to the ground. And bite him on his cheeks.
He needed a 5 hour operation to sew back his face.
He could have been almost killed. And he will be scarred for life. Looking at the photo alone, there just seems to be a hole in his cheek………so scary……….
