SgButterfly Indignation 2009

Sgbutterfly held their Indignation event on Sat at Mohd Sultan. The topic of the night was call “Apprehending the Gentlemen”, where 4 female to male transgenders spoke and talk about their transitions and experiences.

There was a turn out of about 70 over pax which is not bad. And of course, they were mostly either gays or lesbians with a few other transgenders as well.

One of the speakers was so look like guy so much, my friends commented to me they didn’t know he was a she at all!

We had a mini lucky draw for the people who turn out as well.

While passing out my mschorlor namecard to a few friends, I notice two girls who were like looking at each other with surprise when I mentioned I am mschorlor. They gave me the kind of feeling as if they have been reading my blog, and is just surprise to see me in person finally. Are you two reading this now? Anyway just a guess they are my readers. Not sure either.

By the way, this medal that you see here was one of the lucky draw prizes. And you know what is that? The Worldoutgames is just like the Olympic, but the difference is, this games are for the GLBT community, people who are gays, lesbians and transgenders!

And this year’s worldoutgames was just recently held in Copenhagen where one of the sista went. She said people who attended the event was given this medal as a souvenir and she donated it for the lucky draw. The next game is to be held in 2013 as stated in its website. So this medal is like a symbol of you being a gay, lesbian or transgender athlete! And guess what! This sista was the only Singaporean who attended the event, while most other countries had many representatives. So the people there were sort of like asking why nobody else from Spore went.
