Wild deer knocked over on Spore road ??!!!

I read this news that a wild deer dash out along the SLE early this morning and was knocked over by a car.
It was later put to sleep due to serious injuries.
This deer was known as the Sambar Deer, see how they look like here.
I am surprised to read that there are wild deers in our Spore forest !!!??
