Anti Gay Senator comes out as Gay

A very anti gay Senator in California was recently arrested due to drink driving with a man in his car. He had been visiting a gay bar before this.
Since then, he had went on a Radio show and come out as gay.
He commented that the words “I am Gay’ had been so difficult for him to say.
He is well known for very anti gay, going against every single gay rights movement and fights, such as gay marriages and discrimination.
He said that he had to be like that due to his work, even though he is a gay himself. He wants to draw a line between being a public figure and being a gay. Doing what he is suppose to do as a Senator and not as a gay.
A good Senator doing his job? A bad gay turning his back on his own people? This is such a thin line to draw………..
