Have you heard about the legend of the Bugis Guan Yin Temple?

Have you ever heard of this story before?
Why is the Guan Yin Temple at Bugis so popular, that it is always crowded with devotees?
Legend has it that during the World War I or II period, when the Japanese fighter planes dropped bombs in Bugis area, all the buildings surrounding and around the temple were destroyed and zero to the ground.
The temple was the only left building, un-destroyed, un-touched, that still stands there, firmly.
There were even rumours as well, that the Japanese pilots flying the plane, at that time, could see a bright circle of aura, surrounding the temple, as if a shield protecting the temple.
From then onwards, people believes that the Goddess of Mercy had show her power. So till today, the temple is always full of devotees.
In fact, I use to go there pray every Sat like 4 5 years back. It was when my dad dies, that they say I can’t pray and go to any temple for 1 year, that I stopped going, and stopped since then. I think I should go back praying again. Luck has not been so good ever since stopping.
I remember last time when I prayed, I always prayed that I can earn lots of money and save up a lot to buy flat in future. And I really save up a lot now. I think I should go back and pray that I can really buy my own flat next year.
And got one time, don’t know to believe or not, but then my prayers to her was just so answered lor!
Since young, my mum has always hated and forbid me keeping a dog. She will never allow me to bring home a dog to keep unless over her dead body.
So one day, I was praying to Guan Yin, that I really wish to have a dog and keep praying that she bless my mum will agree and let me keep a dog. Then I throw the “sheng bei” and it showed positive.
AND GOODNESS! After that day, when I told my mum I wanted to get a dog, she really agreed in a good tone and did not nag or scold or stop at all!
I just can’t believe it that time! Was it coincidence or my prayers answered? Which is why during that time onwards, I always go and pray every Sat.
Arghhh, been so unfaithful since like 4 years? Maybe it’s time I go back.
And just the other day, I was just accidentally typing a joke onto my Facebook, which I wrote “I had a dream last night, Goddess of Mercy was asking me “when are you coming back”".
I just wanted to write some nonsense onto my wall, did not think or plan what to write, and when I type, it just happens………

Woah… I think you should really go back there and pray, since you had subconsciously type that out. Maybe it’s a sign. For me,I really hope it’s not true that I threw the sheng bei that it showed positive to me flunking my year end exams =x
